Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – February 15
Rudy Gobert – Higher than 14.5 Points
Taking the higher on a Rudy Gobert points line?! Have I gone mad?! Don’t look now, but Minnesota’s defensive stalwart has caught the scoring bug lately, topping this 14.5-point projection in three straight games, six of his last seven, and eight of his last nine. This includes 16 points in his last game, against the very same Portland Trail Blazers team he’ll be facing on Thursday.
Anfernee Simons – Lower than 22.5 Points
Anfernee Simons is leading Portland in scoring this season, averaging 23.3 ppg. He’s been even better in February, averaging 26 points over the four games he’s played. So why am I taking the lower than 22.5 points? Because Minnesota has the league’s best defense, and they held Simons to 20 points on 6-19 shooting on Tuesday.
Jerami Grant – Lower than 19.5 Points
I could just write see above (re: Simons, Anfernee), but I’ll go into more detail. Jerami Grant is averaging 21.7 ppg on the year, and 28.3 in the three February games he has suited up for. But, like Simons, he’s up against Minnesota tomorrow. And against Minnesota this season he’s scored 12 points (Tuesday’s game) and 13 points. Lower than 19.5 points it is then.
