The puck dropped on the second half of the NHL season on Monday. Unfortunately, our first Underdog entry fell short. There’s no sense in crying over spilled entries; let’s just build a banger here on Tuesday. With a total of eight games on the slate tonight, there are plenty of opportunities. So grab your aprons and your cooking supplies, time to get back in the kitchen and cook one up. Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for February 6.
The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for February 6
Sebastian Aho Higher Than 0.5 Assists
We’re going to find out a lot about the Carolina Hurricanes right out of the gate in the second half. Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks will be a good test. Winger Sebastian Aho has put together a 17-goal and 37-assist season already. He also had four assists in his last five games heading into the All-Star Break.
There’s an old NHL Underdog saying that goes, “If you want to win, take the Fin.” Go ahead and press the Higher Than 0.5 Assists for Sebastian Aho against the Canucks.
Jason Robertson Higher Than 0.5 Assists
The Dallas Stars aren’t creeping up on anybody these days because they’ve looked particularly good all year. Tuesday night, they’ll be here in Buffalo, where a win should be expected. And probably by multiple goals, if we’re being honest. American winger Jason Robertson has put together a solid 17 goals and 33 assists in the first half of the season.
He also tallied five points in the five games heading into the All-Star Break. Much like Aho above this, the numbers and trends are similar. This time, let’s take the bright young American Jason Robertson to go Higher Than 0.5 Assists against Buffalo.
Connor McDavid Higher Than 1.5 Points
Well, well, well. Quick Pick readers with very good memories might recall that I swore off ever using Connor McDavid. But, with the Oilers going for history tonight, it’s only fitting to go against it with the game’s current GOAT. Just looking back at his last three games, McDavid has an astonishing eight points.
And he put together multi-point nights in two of those three games. The VGK will be a tough out, and they certainly don’t want their name in the history book for the wrong reasons. Let’s trust Connor McDavid here and take Higher Than 1.5 Points to hit a nice little Tuesday night banger!
