It is not only Super Bowl Week, but it is also time for the 2024 WM Phoenix Open. Year after year, this event coincides with the Super Bowl. There’s nothing like sweating out an outright ten minutes before the Super Bowl kicks off. The course fit-wise, we are looking for golfers with elite off-the-tee upside and creative short games. This course rewards strong and aggressive driving and will give plenty of scoring chances. Here are my 2024 Phoenix Open DFS picks!
2024 WM Phoenix Open: Best DFS Plays By Range
Upper Range
Scottie Scheffler $11,600
Is it flashy? No. Is there a winning upside even at this massive price? Yes. Scottie, a plug-and-play this week. Building around him is just what we will have to figure out.
He is the two-time defending champ of this event, and it is truly the best course on tour for his game. He gives you top-of-the-line driving and a top-of-the-line short game.
That is exactly what TPC Scottsdale asks of you, and that is what Scottie does best. His ball striking alone gives him a floor of about T9. Plus, this field is a tad weaker than it has been over the last few events. It may not be what you were looking for, but Scottie is a no-brainer at TPC Scottsdale.
Mid Range
Cam Young $9,200
At this point, no one wants to play Cam Young. They had their moments, but there are shiny new toys this year. Cam Young gives you elite driving upside. This golf course rewards elite driving, and Cam fits that bill to a tee. He should be less owned at this price as people will pivot elsewhere.

It has only taken Cam Young two years to be considered a “guy who can’t win.” Those titles are only given to golfers who find themselves near the top of the leaderboard. Cam is a great option in your 2024 WM Phoenix Open DFS lineups.
Kevin Yu $7,300
Buy Kevin Yu while you can. Week by week, he finds himself in the mix, and he will quickly become extremely popular. He has proven to have elite off-the-tee prowess in 2024, which is extremely important in this course. Kevin Yu has been fearless so far this year, and he has done a great job playing courses he has never seen, and that will be the case yet again.
Low Range
Matti Schmid $6,500
Schmid is a young German who has not shown much on the PGA Tour yet. He has great reps in the mix across the pond, and if we have learned anything from the first month of 2024, it is that these Euros really want it!
Schmid provides an elite off-the-tee game as he has gained five-plus strokes to the field a few times. He also has a great round-one scoring average, which is great for a golfer to get through the cut at this price.
