Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 31
Kevin Huerter – Higher than 2.5 Three-Pointers Made
Huerter has been getting the attempts lately for the Kings and has been making good on them. He’s gotten 8+ attempts in the last three games and beat this projection in every single one of those contests. He’s also gone for 3+ three-pointers in five of his last seven. In his two games against the Heat since joining the Kings, he’s gone for 11 total threes (or 5.5 per game).
Victor Wembanyama – Higher than 0.5 Double Doubles
Wemby has gone four straight games with a double double thanks to his increased work on the glass. His point total shouldn’t be any concern, which means this is essentially the same as playing his rebounds at higher than 9.5. While the Magic are one of the better teams in the league in limiting opponents’ rebounds, that doesn’t mean that the high total stays low. In fact, someone has nabbed double figure rebounds against them in four of the last five games (the Suns being the only that didn’t).
Damian Lillard – Higher than 25.5 Points
We like to make picks around these parts with statistics and trends. But there’s nothing that really beats an old fashion narrative game. Lillard hangs out right around this number and is getting it in roughly half of his recent games. However, this will be his first time back in Portland since he was traded to the Bucks. In his only other meeting with them (during the in-season tournament), he went for 31. I expect an even bigger showing in his old stomping grounds.
