Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 30
Jayson Tatum – Lower than 29.5 Points
Jayson Tatum’s point total being set at 29.5 for tomorrow is too high, so lower is the play. But he’s playing the Indiana Pacers, you say, and they are always involved in high-scoring games. I still don’t think Tatum is getting into the 30s in the scoring column. With a more balanced attack this season in Boston, Tatum is only averaging 26.8 ppg and has only gone for 30 or more once in his past 10 games (and not in his past three).
Lauri Markkanen – Higher than 8.5 Rebounds
The New York Knicks will be without Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, and maybe OG Anunoby tomorrow night when they face the Utah Jazz, so rebounds should be up for grabs. Lauri Markkanen is averaging 8.8 boards per game this season and has grabbed nine rebounds or more in back-to-back games and eight of his last 10 games.
Nikola Vucevic – Lower than 12.0 Rebounds
Chicago’s Nikola Vucevic is a strong rebounder, but I think 12 rebounds is too high of a bar for him tomorrow night against Toronto. He’s only averaging 10.5 rpg this season and has only gone higher than 12 boards once in his last four games (and not in his last two). Look for the Raptors to keep him off the boards enough for us to hit our lower.
