For whatever reason, the College Basketball scheduling folks love giving us nothing on Fridays but everything on Saturdays. We are getting just eight games on today’s slate, while we get 154 on Saturday. Not sure how I feel about it. Nonetheless, here are the College Basketball picks for January 26th.

College Basketball Picks January 26th
Ohio at Kent State (-2.5) (O/U 151.5)
Ohio is coming off a really tough battle against Akron. This year, the Zips are the class of the MAC, and Ohio showed they had what it takes to compete.
They took a while to get going this season, but I was fairly bullish on them heading into the year. The showing they put out against Akron confirmed my beliefs.
Kent State is usually one of the best teams in the conference. This year they are still very competitive, but not at the elite level. They are coming off a very impressive win at Bowling Green, which is a perfect letdown spot here.
I expect the Bobcats to be super hungry and finally pick up a nice win in the conference.
The Pick: Ohio +2.5
Saint Joseph’s at St Bonaventure (-2.5) (O/U 143.5)
The Hawks got off to a blazing start to the season and ran into some trouble to start conference play. Losing three straight A10 ten games out the gates was a bit of a concern, but they rattled off three straight wins to follow.
They head to St Bon, which is always a really tough place to play. The Bonnies are a tad down this year, but they are always a tough out.
The X factor in this game is SJU’s veteran leadership. They are one of the oldest teams in the entire nation and have played plenty of times in these atmospheres.
The Hawks are the better team, and we get a great number on them.
The Pick: Saint Joseph’s +2.5
