NBA Picks January 25th
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Indiana Pacers

Spread: 76ers -4.5

While we all sit here in shock and awe of Joel Embiid as of late, and we all marvel at how many points the Pacers give up – let’s not get too excited. This number is pretty high up there when you consider the recent action of both teams. The 76ers have only made this projection three times in regulation the New Year. Additionally, the Pacers seem like a new team, for better or worse, with Pascal Siakam. Their highest game total since he joined the squad is 233 and their games are averaging just 227.7 in that frame. Tyrese Haliburton being out isn’t going to help matters offensively either.
Best Bet: Under 237.5 (-115)
Chicago Bulls vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Tipoff – 10:30 pm EST
Spread: Lakers -4.5
Total: 226.5
The Bulls may not be world-beaters this year, but they’ve been looking pretty solid on the road as of late – and in general for that matter. In their last five road games, they’ve won three of them outright and managed to cover the spread in another. That spread cover was against a tough Suns team, who they lost to by just two points. Now some of the teams on this stretch haven’t been heavy hitters. Toronto and Charlotte don’t have people shaking in their boots. However, neither do the Lakers – particularly in their current form.
The Lakers have been stumbling lately. Losers in two of their last three, they struggled at homein an 18-point loss to the 17-26 Brooklyn Nets. Chicago might just come in here and tear the place up, but at the very least they should cover.
Best Bet: Bulls +4.5 (-110)
