Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 25
Nikola Vucevic – Higher than 12.5 Rebounds
Over the past three games, Vucevic has been averaging 14 rebounds per. That is a nice cushion over the 12.5 that are projected here for him. He’s also coming off of a 17 board performance against the Suns, who are usually halfway decent at limiting big rebound break outs like that (in fact they’re second in the league in limiting opponents’ boards). The Lakers aren’t quite that good, so I see another nice performance from the Bulls’ big man.
OG Anunoby – Higher than 4.5 Rebounds
OG Anunoby may have a season average that is lower than the projection, but that hasn’t been the case since the big move. Since joining the Knicks, Anunoby has taken to getting on the glass quite a bit more. He’s averaging 5.2 rebounds and is 9-3 against this projection with New York. He hasn’t missed this number for four straight games and I think he makes it five on Thursday.
Myles Turner – Lower than 6.5 Rebounds
When the Pacers went and got Pascal Siakam, everybody talked up the move and appreciated that they seemed to be going for it. That was before they went 0-3 after acquiring him – and one of those losses was to the Blazers.
However, it isn’t just the team’s record that is struggling. Myles Turner is getting way less work down low. Although he’s averaging 7.1 rebounds per game on the season, he has just eight boards over the last two games. I think this may be a trend we see as long as these two are in the lineup, so you might want to grab this while it’s still this high.
