Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 19
Zion Williamson – Lower than 23.5 Points
Zion Williamson’s average points per game on the season, or even just in this month, are well below this projection. Besides the fact that he usually doesn’t get here, he’s been banged up lately. He missed three games ago entirely. He played on Monday against Charlotte, but looked limited in a 13 point effort. While the Phoenix isn’t a top tier defense, I’m not buying the bounce back for him here.
Tobias Harris – Higher than 16.5 Points
This may come as a surprise to some, but Tobias Harris is actually averaging more per game than Zion Williamson in the month of January. He’s currently doing it by more than a full point per game. Some of that has been due to some bulk games for Harris, but he’s made this number in four of six games, which is good enough for me.
Nikola Jokic – Lower than 9.0 Assists
Jokic has been a triple-double machine over the course of his career. However, he’s been a little light on the assists in the new year. Since the calendar turned over, he’s only beat this projection in three of eight contests. Furthermore, in 15 career games against the Celtics, he’s averaging just 6.5 dimes per game.
