Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 15
Jeremy Sochan – Higher than 11.5 Points
Sochan has hit this projection in two of his last three games, but that’s not the only reason why I like him here. The Spurs have been having him shoot a bit more as of late.
He has at least five 3-point attempts in three of his last five games. He’s also shot 15 times in two of his last three. Add in that the Hawks are 29th in the league in points allow and there should be ample opportunities for him to get a dozen.
Daniel Gafford – Higher than 7.5 Rebounds
Gafford is averaging 8.75 rebounds per game over his last four. He managed a double-double in one of those contests as well. So he’s on a nice streak that is clearly bringing up his season average.
He also had a good first game against the Pistons this year. They played all the way back in November and Gafford grabbed 9 boards in the game. I think he should repeat that here.
RJ Barrett – Higher than 5.5 Rebounds
Since coming to the Raptors, this has been an easy number for Barrett. Part of his new role has required him to get on the boards a bit more.
He’s averaging 6.9 per game for Toronto and has hit this projection in five of the last seven games. Boston has been rough lately in terms of opponents’ rebounding – and for the whole year, for that matter. Barrett should continue his success here.
