Kyle Kuzma – Lower than 6.0 Rebounds
Kyle Kuzma is having a solid season for the Washington Generals Wizards, but he has not been hitting the boards very hard over his last few games. He’s only grabbed two rebounds in each of his last three games, and has only topped this six rebound projection twice in his last seven games. I’m guessing the Oklahoma City Thunder keep him off the glass tomorrow night.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – Higher than 33.5 Points
Yes, the Thunder are playing the Wizards tomorrow night, so of course I’m taking the higher than 33.5 points for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Wizards, not surprisingly, have the worst defense in the NBA this season. And SGA scores regardless of who he is playing – the all-world guard is averaging 34.3 points per game in January. He’s scored at least 34 points in six of his last eight games.
Fred VanVleet – Lower than 16.5 Points
Houston’s veteran point guard Fred VanVleet has been looking to distribute more in the new year and has concentrated less on scoring, so I’m taking the lower than 16.5 points for him tomorrow against the Miami Heat. VanVleet is only averaging 14.3 points over four January games, and is taking four fewer shots per game than he did last month. He’s only topped this 16.5-point projection once in his last four games.
