Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 7
CJ McCollum – Higher than 20.5 Points
On Friday Zion Williamson exited the game with an injury and is now listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Even if he plays, he might be on a minutes restriction or be forced to take it easy. That means the points will have to come from somewhere else. When you add in that they are playing the Pacers, who appear to be allergic to playing defense, it should be easy for McCollum to score a bit more than he usually does.
Cade Cunningham – Higher than 24.5 Points
On New Year’s Day, Cunningham had an odd six point performance on some really ugly shooting. If you take that game out, he has five straight games of scoring at least 30 points. He scored 27 against the Denver Nuggets when they played each other in the in-season tournament, and got viciously hacked for most of the game. I expect more of the same here.
Pascal Siakam – Lower than 7.0 Rebounds
It hasn’t been easy for Siakam to get to this number as of late. In fact, he hasn’t surpassed it since before Christmas. Now we’re pitting him against the Golden State Warriors, who just so happen to rank 11th in limiting opponent’s rebounds. They’ve also been better as of late. In the last three games they’re bumped that ranking up to 8th. The chances might be scant for a guy in Siakam who is already struggling to reach it.
