Underdog Fantasy Pick Em’ Flowchart
Core Plays
The core plays are going to be my favorite plays this week as your base foundation to start your pick em entry to maximize. This week, there are two projections I love to get the Underdog Fantasy Pick Em entry started.
Joshua Dobbs Higher 28.5 Rushing Yards
Dobbs has been a monster this season, filling up the stat sheet, especially rushing the football. This season, Dobbs has gone over this projection in 6 of the 10 games he’s played in this season. In one game, he finished with 26 rushing yards. Further, the Saints are allowing the 4th most rushing yards to the quarterback position.
Last week, Tyson Bagent rushed for 70 yards on eight attempts. Additionally, in Week 7, Lawerence rushed for 59 yards on eight attempts. If Dobbs has at least five carries in this game, I believe he goes higher on this projection.
Breece Hall Higher 63.5 Rushing Yards
The Las Vegas Raiders rush defense has been terrible this season. In fact, the Raiders have allowed seven of the nine running backs they have faced to go over this projection. Further, in the two games where a single running back didn’t go over this projection, a combination of two running backs went over this projection.
That was the Patriots; Stevenson had 46 rushing yards, and Zeke had 34 rushing yards. Also, in Week 1, Javonte Williams had 52 rushing yards, and Perine had 41. So, all nine teams the Raiders have faced have over this projection, whether it’s been a single running back or as a collective group.
Raiders are allowing the sixth most rushing yards per attempt, and it has gotten even worse over the last three weeks, where they are allowing the third most rushing yards per attempt. Also, over the last three weeks, teams are running on average 35.3 times per game, which is tied for the most with the Seahawks.
3x Multiplier
TJ Hockenson Higher 49.5 Receiving Yards
I understand the Saints are one of the better teams defending the tight end position, but I like the yardage here for Hockenson because of the number of targets he is going to get.
Last week, when Dobbs came in as the quarterback for injured starter Hall, Dobbs threw the ball to Hockenson 12 times and 7 catches for 69 yards. Plus, if we go back and look at Dobbs’s time with the Cardinals, Ertz had 43 targets and 40 to Trey McBride. I love this Underdog Fantasy entry for this week!
Christian McCaffrey Higher 32.5 Receiving Yards
The 49ers are coming off a much-needed bye week after losing three straight games. The 49ers will travel to Florida and take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are one of the best rush defenses in the league. However, the one area the Jaguars struggle with is defending the running back position through the air.
In fact, the Jaguars are allowing opposing running backs to average 49.38 receiving yards per game. Now we know the threat, McCaffrey is, especially in the passing game. In fact, McCaffrey has gone over this projection four games this season. I expect McCaffrey to be heavily involved in the passing game.
5x Multiplier
James Cook Higher 2.5 Receptions
The Buffalo Bills look to bounce back on Monday Night Football, hosting the Denver Broncos. Broncos have struggled mightly on defense this season, especially against running backs. In fact, the Broncos are allowing opposing running backs to average 6.38 receptions per game.
Cook has not been a stranger in the Bills passing game. As a matter of fact, Cook has caught at least three passes in five games this season. Furthermore, over the last seven weeks of the season, every running back the Broncos have faced has at least three receptions.
Noah Brown Higher 42.5 Receiving Yards
The Houston Texans will head to Cincinnati short-handed on the offensive side of the football. They will be without their #1 wide receiver, Nico Collins, and starting running back Dameon Pierce. The one receiver who has had plenty of opportunity for the Texans is Noah Brown.
Brown has gone over this projection in two games in a row, including last week against the Buccaneers, where he had 153 receiving yards. I expect the targets to be aplenty for Brown this week.
10x Multiplier
Saquon Barkley Higher 20.5 Receiving Yards
The New York Giants head to Texas to take on their division rival, the Dallas Cowboys. The New York Giants are down to their third-string quarterback, Tommy DeVito. I expect the Giants to utilize Saquon Barkley as a safety net in the passing game. Barkley has gone higher than this projection in five of the nine career games against the Cowboys.
I expect there to be screen passes to Barkley in this game, and with the break-out ability of Barkley, I believe he will go higher on this projection.
