Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – November 3
Tyler Herro – Higher than 23.5 Points
Herro has absolutely been lighting things up as of late. He’s gone for 30 and 35 points over the last two games respectively. He’s shot over 50% from the field in three of the five games that he’s played so far and just can’t seem to miss. If that trend isn’t good enough for you to start, let’s consider the opponent. Washington is allowing more points per game than any team in the NBA this year at 126.3. There should be able opportunities for him to put up numbers.
Josh Giddey – Lower than 7.0 Assists
Giddy was a threat for a triple-double every time he stepped on to the court last year – or for the last two years for that matter. This year, however, the boards are still there, but we’re seen a huge drop off in dimes. He hasn’t reached this projection even once on the year, and has only hit six twice. He has a combined seven assists in his last two games.
Like with Herro, we also have to take the opponent into account. The Warriors are 6th in the league in limiting opponents’ assists. With all that in the fold, I just can’t see this being his breakout.
RJ Barrett – Higher than 1.5 3-Pointers Made
The Knicks must be giving RJ Barrett the right to just shoot away when he’s downtown. Barrett is throwing up 5.3 three-pointers per game this season. While that’s just a touch over last year’s average, he is making them at a far better clip. He’s averaging 2.3 per game, which outpaces the 1.7 he had last season. Either of those numbers would be promising for this projection, so we’ll smile and take the higher of the two.
