Underdog Fantasy Daily Pick’Em Entry – November 1
Nathan Eovaldi – Higher than 4.5 Hits
Nathan Eovaldi has been a rock for the Rangers throughout these playoffs, going 4-0 with a 3.52 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP thus far. However, 4.5 hits is too low of a bar for him to stay under. He’s given up five or more hits in seven straight starts. With Arizona’s backs against the wall, I think they’ll be able to get enough hits off of Eovaldi to top 4.5.
Corey Seager – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases
Higher than 1.5 total bases is nothing for Corey Seager. He’s topped this mark in two straight games and four of his last five. And he’s hit Game 5’s starter, Zac Gallen, pretty decent over the course of his career. In 25 plate appearances, Seager is slashing .318/.400/.364. I think he can touch at least a couple of bags on Wednesday.
Zac Gallen – Lower than 4.0 Strikeouts
All-Star Zac Gallen has been pitching anything but an all-star these playoffs, posting a 5.27 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. I don’t see him lasting long enough to get past four strikeouts on Wednesday. He’s only topped four K’s in a game once these playoffs, which just so happened to be in his last start. But with the way the Rangers have been playing on the road these playoffs, I don’t see a repeat performance for Gallen.
