Underdog Fantasy Pick Em’ Flowchart
Core Plays
The core plays are going to be my favorite plays this week as your base foundation to start your pick em’ entry to maximize. This week, there are two projections I love to get the Underdog Fantasy Pick Em’ entry started.
Isaiah Pacheco Higher 15.5 Rushing Yards
The theme continues to play on running backs against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos have a historically bad defense thus far this season. Opposing running backs are not only thriving rushing the football but also through the air. In fact, opposing running backs are averaging 6.71 receptions per game and 55 receiving yards.
Further, Pacheco has played in three career games against the Broncos, and Pacheco has gone over this projection in all three games.
A.J. Brown Higher 89.5 Receiving Yards
Quietly, AJ Brown has entered his name into the MVP conversation, and the chemistry with Jalen Hurts is on full display. Brown is going for a sixth straight 100+ receiving-yard game. Additionally, Brown has led the team in targets with 59 targets over the last five games. Further, in a matchup earlier this season against the Commanders, Brown went OFF for 175 receiving yards. I fully expect Brown to make it a sixth consecutive 100+ receiving-yard game.

Tyrod Taylor Over 4.5 Rush Attempts
Since Tyrod Taylor has started at quarterback for the New York Giants in place of the injured Daniel Jones, Taylor has utilized his running ability. In fact, in the two games he has started for the Giants, Taylor has rush attempts of 5 and 8. Further, quarterbacks are no strangers to running the football against the Jets’ defense.
As a matter of fact, every quarterback except for one has five or more rush attempts against the Jets. I expect this trend to continue. I’ll take the higher on Tyrod Taylor rush attempts. I love this as part of the Underdog Fantasy Pick Em Contest!
Gus Edwards Higher 56.5 Rushing Yards
Another year and more running backs are decimated by injuries for the Ravens. Gus Edwards has now become the feature back for the Ravens. This week, they take on the Arizona Cardinals, who are one of the worst rush defenses. In fact, the Cardinals rank #25 in opponent rushing yards per game and #22 in opponent yards per rush attempt.
Further, over the last six weeks, opposing running backs have gone over this total against the Ravens. Additionally, in four out of the last five weeks, opposing running backs have eclipsed 100+ rushing yards. Lastly, Edwards is averaging 14 rush attempts per game over the last three weeks. I like Edwards to go higher on this projection.

Geno Smith Lower 20 Completions
The Seattle Seahawks will host one of the best defenses in the league in Week 8, the Cleveland Browns. Would you believe me if I said that the Browns’ have held every quarterback and they have faced 15 completions or lower? That’s right! This defense is on another level. Smith has gone lower than this projection in three of the six games he has played in this season. I expect this projection to continue for the Browns’ stingy defense and limit the completions for Geno Smith.
Keenan Allen Higher 7 Receptions
The Chargers and Keenan Allen have a favorable matchup this week on Sunday Night Football against the Bears. I am expecting another big night from Allen to be involved in the passing game. The Bears come into this week with one of the worst pass defenses in the league. In fact, the Bears are 7.1 yards per pass attempt, which ranks #27. Additionally, the Bears are allowing 257.1 passing yards per game, which ranks #29.
Kennan Allen has been a consistent player for the Chargers’ offense. Despite only having two games this season with seven or more receptions, I am expecting Allen to have a big night raking up the receptions and continuing to get the targets from Justin Herbert.
10x Multiplier
Christian McCaffrey Higher 73.5 Rushing Yards
Over the last two weeks, we have seen Christian McCaffrey have subpar statistical games. However, this week, he has a favorable matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals rush defense. The Bengals rush defense comes into this week with one of the worst rush defenses in the league. In fact, the Bengals are allowing 142.8 rushing yards per game, which ranks #29. Further, The Bengals are allowing 5.0 yards per carry to the opposition.
Despite not reaching this projection over the last two weeks, I am expecting the same number of carries for McCaffrey. The 49ers are also expecting to start backup quarterback Sam Darnold this week in place of injury starter Brock Purdy. I expect the 49ers to rely heavily on McCaffrey. This is my favorite pick for the Underdog Fantasy Pick Em Contest!
