Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – October 27
Nikola Jokic – Lower than 50.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
The league’s best player picked up where he ended last season in Denver’s season opener, going off for 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists. By my math that would be 53 Pts+Rebs+Asts. Yet, I don’t think he tops 50.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts on Friday against Memphis. That’s a really, really high number, one that Jokic has never averaged over a season. I think he goes Lower tomorrow.
Jimmy Butler – Lower than 23.5 Points
What does Underdog think – this is the playoffs?! Jimmy Butler doesn’t turn it on until the NBA title is within reach. He scored 19 points in the Heat’s first game and has only once in his career averaged 24 points a game. I don’t think he’ll hang 24+ on the Celtics on Friday in their grudge match.
Victor Wembanyama – Higher than 17.5 Points
The most hyped NBA rookie since LeBron James had a rough debut, getting himself in foul trouble and only playing 23 minutes for the Spurs on Wednesday night. Despite the struggles, he still put 15 points up on the board. So, with the first-game jitters out of the way, I think he’ll be able to muster three more points against the Rockets on Friday and top 18.
