Underdog Fantasy Daily Pick’Em Entry – August 26
Bobby Witt Jr – Higher than 0.5 Singles
The sample size is fairly limited, but Bobby Witt Jr. has had a lot of success hitting Logan Gilbert. In six career plate appearances, he has five hits, and four of them are singles. He’s also been hot this month, hitting .359 with 33 hits. He should be able to snag one single here.
Bryce Harper – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases
Bryce Harper has been white-hot in the last four games – with at least five total bases in each of his last four games. He’s got multiple hits in each of those, which gives me a good deal of confidence that he can hit this projection.
To add a little more fuel to the fire, I also like the matchup with Dakota Hudson. It may be another limited sample size, but Harper has five at bats against Hudson and has three extra-base hits again.
Chase Silseth – Higher than 4.5 Strikeouts
Fading the Mets has become a new favorite pastime of mine. They’ve lost three in a row and four of their last five. Worst of all, they’re striking out a lot. During the three game losing streak, they’ve struck out 32 times.
Chase Silseth has shown promise when he’s dialed in. He’s gone for double digit strikeouts twice in the last five games. He may not get that many here, but he only needs half for this projection to hit.
