Underdog Fantasy Daily Pick’Em Entry – August 21st
Spencer Torkelson – Over 8.0 Fantasy Points
Torkelson has been ripping the ball lately, but more importantly, he’s been filling out the stat sheet. You may want to stay away from his projections on singles right now because he’s been hitting so many extra base hits. It’d only take an RBI double to meet this projection, and even just an extra walk or run would put him over 8.0. With 36 fantasy points in his last three games, I think he is a good place to start.
Austin Riley – Over 0.5 Singles
Riley is getting a favorable matchup today against David Peterson, who he is hitting .444 against lifetime. He’s been feasting on left-handed pitching as of late, and you have to imagine that trend continues as he meets the divisional-rival Mets – who are struggling mightily.
With that being said, three of his last four hits are all singles. He’s been mostly hitting line drives as of late, so I feel pretty confident that he nabs one single today.
Touki Toussaint – Over 5.5 Strikeouts
Maybe not a household name, but Toussaint has been striking out tons of guys lately. In his last three starts, he has 22 strikeouts. Seattle has struck out 36 times over their last three games and seem to have decided to be a homer or bust team late.
