Best MLB Player Prop Bets – Sunday, May 7th
Mason Miller O4.5 K’s (-120)
I love this spot for Mason against the Royals. He has gone over his K prop in all three of his starts. The only concern I have with him is the walks. It is tricky betting on rookie pitchers to see if they continue going well or if regression starts to come.
If Miller continues going the way he is, I doubt we will see his prop at this number for much longer. He had five, six, and six strikeouts in his first three starts and now has another favorable matchup against the Royals. So let’s continue to capitalize on Miller’s low prop number.
Michael Kopech O1.5 Walks (-188)
I know this is kind of chalky, but this is a play where I would put a unit and a half on this prop. We must continue to take advantage of Kopech and his issue with walking batters. He has gone over this prop in every one of his starts. In his last start, he walked five batters, and, on the season, he is averaging 3.5 walks on the season. Kopech has walked two or more batters in each one of his starts. I expect another few batters to be walked today.
Jose Suarez U5.5 K’s (-118)
We are going to fade Jose Suarez in this spot. He will take on a Texas Rangers team who do a good job at the plate, not striking out. This number is just too high, in my opinion. He has only gone over this number one out of his five starts. Now, he gets the Rangers, who just put up 10 runs on the Angels in yesterday’s game and who are a top-10 offense. The Rangers do not have a lot of swing-and-miss guys either in their lineup. Fading Suarez and going under his K prop.
