NBA Playoff Picks
The guys (@GamblingPodcast) are joined by the hosts from The NBA Gambling Podcast to give out their NBA Playoff picks for the weekend. Terrell Furman (@reallyrell__) and Munaf ‘The Machine’ Manji (@SportsNerd824) give out their NBA predictions for 4/22/23 and 4/23/23.
(5:12) Celtics (-6) vs Hawks
Boston is simply just the way better team, but it is never easy to sweep. In addition, Scott Foster will be refereeing the next two home games for Atlanta and the home team usually fares much better when he is refereeing. Boston also is not a great team against the spread and can easily drop one with Atlanta home on a Friday night.
(11:22) Knicks (-1.5) vs Cavs
This series is extremely tight and is going to the Garden for game 3. The crowd will be absolutely lit and its fitting for the Knicks to give the people of New York a great show. However, everyone seems to have their best games when they go to the Garden especially come playoff time.
(16:25) Nuggets (-2.5) vs Timberwolves
Minnesota put up a good fight game and almost covered. Despite them returning home they might still have trouble trying seal a win in this one due to how good the Nuggets are. The best way to bet this most likely is Timberwolves first quarter and first half.
(20:43) 76ers (-5.5) vs Nets
The Nets have put together some really good fights but just can’t find a way to cover. The Sixers look like they won’t stop though and could really benefit from finishing up the series early and getting some good rest.
(25:57) Suns (-5) vs Clippers
The Clippers were close to taking a 2-0 lead but return to LA with a tied series. Their fate is essentially tied to whether Kawhi wants to play or not considering his load management. The Suns starters are playing hefty minutes and this could catch up to them.
(29:08) Bucks (-5.5) vs Heat
The Bucks just tied the series up with a very commanding win in Game 2 without Giannis. The Heat are playing hard but they struggle against the spread at home. Milwaukee should wrap up this series pretty soon.
(32:58) Grizzlies vs Lakers (-4.5)
The Lakers missed an opportunity to go up 2-0 without Ja playing the last game. However, Dillon Brooks has lit a fire amongst the Lakers, and we could see LeBron impose his will on the stat sheet in Game 3. For the year, the Grizzlies were the worst team against the spread on the road as a dog.
