NBA DFS Lineup for Sunday – April 9th

Sunday will be the last regular season game. While you may have a year’s worth of trends to assemble a winning DFS lineup, it won’t be that easy. Teams have guys on the bench resting; young guys are getting more burn, and so many unpredictable things. So we did the heavy lifting to help prepare you for a wild afternoon.

NBA DFS Lineup for Sunday – April 9th

PG – Russell Westbrook – LAC – $9,100

The Clippers will be one of the few teams for something to play for. They find themselves as one of the two teams that haven’t clinched a full playoff berth yet (just one game out of the play-in). So, of course, I’m looking for someone to carry my roster. Westbrook works for me against an unknown Suns lineup because he spreads it out of the stat sheet, meaning he can rack up fantasy points no matter what we see.

SG – Klay Thompson – GSW – $7,300

Not only are the Warriors another of the teams with something to play for, but Klay has been hot lately. He’s gone for at least 40 fantasy points in his last three games. Much of that has been due to efficient work from three-point, and the Blazers are an awful defensive team.

SF – Bennedict Mathurin – IND – $6,700

The Pacers haven’t had anything to play for in a bit, but Mathurin has still been getting his usual complement of minutes. The Knicks will probably rest their usual guys who are on the boards, which means we might see a little more out of Methurin here – which is where he goes from being good to highly valuable in your NBA DFS lineup.

PF – Xavier Cooks – WAS – $4,100

Since the Wizards were eliminated, they have given more and more minutes to Cooks. He’s logged over 20 minutes a game over the last three games. Even if they do go full strength, Houston has been bad against big men (24th in the league in terms of fantasy points), so expect Cooks to keep rolling.

C – Onyeka Okongwu – ATL – $4,800

6+ boards and double-digit points are almost a guarantee for Okongwu as of late. He’s only failed to reach that rebound mark once in the last month, and the points total two times in that span (12 games). So in a time with no stability, grab that stability here.

G – Kris Dunn – UTA – $7,500

The Jazz have apparently decided to go hard regardless of the situation, and Dunn might be the one going hardest. He’s averaging over 50 fantasy points a game in his last two. It’d be crazy if he kept that streak going and flirted with another triple-double, but at this NBA DFS salary, you have to give it a go.

F – Luke Kennard – MEM – $5,800

While the Grizzlies rest their starters for the playoffs, Kennard will take over as he has in the last two. He’s hovering right around 35 fantasy points a game on the heels of sharp shooting from three-point. Oklahoma City is 28th in the league against small forwards, and that number is worse against those who shoot from deep.

UTIL – Isaiah Joe – OKC – $4,700

Being out of contention, the Thunder seem to be looking to find out what they have. Joe has not seen a massive increase in minutes but has seemingly been given more scoring opportunities. His shot attempts are way up since they were eliminated, so let’s ride with that to close out the season.
