NBA Same Game Parlays – Friday, March 31st
Oklahoma City @ Indiana Pacers
Benedict Mathurin 18+ Points
In my last NBA Same Game Parlay article, I mentioned the injuries the Pacers are dealing with in their backcourt. They will likely be without Tyrese Haliburton for the rest of the season.
In addition, Buddy Hield has also missed the past several games with illness/injury. Mauthrin, over the last two games, has carried the scoring responsibility for the Pacers since being inserted into the starting lineup. In fact, in the last two games, Mathurin has scored 25+ points for the Pacers. I believe that continues tonight for Mathurin.
Andrew Nembhard 8+ Assists
The Oklahoma City Thunder are struggling against the point guard position, especially over the last two weeks. In fact, the Thunder are allowing opposing point guards to average 9.8 assists per contest. As mentioned above, the Pacers are dealing with injuries, and Andrew Nembhard has filled in nicely. In his last game, Nembhard racked up 15 assists. Tonight, as he faces a Thunder defense that has struggled against point guards, I can see another double-digit assists game from Nembhard.
Josh Giddey 8+ Assists
The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to be without their All-Star point guard, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Josh Giddey has filled the facilitator role very well. In a matchup earlier this season against the Pacers, Giddey tallied 11 assists in that matchup. With a total of 236 points tonight, the books are expecting a high-scoring game. I believe there is potential for Giddey to have a big night getting assists. I love this as part of an NBA Same-Game Parlay.
Atlanta Hawks @ Brooklyn Nets
Clint Capela 10+ Points & 12+ Rebounds
I made it a point to bet on opposing centers’ rebounds against the Nets. Unfortunately, the Nets continue to be one of the worst rebounding teams since the All-Star Break. Tonight, I am going back to that well. Clint Capela has been a monster on the boards against the Nets. In fact, Capela has grabbed 12 or more rebounds against the Nets in four of the last five career games. Additionally, over the last five games, Capela is averaging 14 points and 13.4 rebounds per game.
Nicholas Claxton 10+ Rebounds
Another center with plenty of success rebounding the basketball has been Nicholas Claxton. On the season, Claxton is averaging 9.2 rebounds. Additionally, in two games against the Hawks, Claxton averages 10.5 rebounds per game. Furthermore, opposing centers are averaging 16.2 rebounds per game over the last two weeks against the Hawks.
Trae Young 30+ Points
I’m unsure if Trae Young has a vendetta against the Nets, but he has been a scoring machine against them. Over his last four career games against the Nets, Young has scored 31+ points in each of those games. In the two games against the Nets this season, Young has scored 33 and 34 points, respectively. The defense will be optional in this game, and I expect a big night of scoring from Young.
Spencer Dinwiddie Points + Assists 25+
Since the trade to the Nets, Spencer Dinwiddie has been the featured starting point guard for the Nets, and it is showing up on the stats sheet. In fact, since the trade, Dinwiddie is averaging 9.1 assists per game.
The scoring has not been a problem for Dinwiddie. On the season, Dinwiddie is averaging 17.6 points per game. Further, Dinwiddie has combined for 25 or more points and assists in three out of the last five games. Lastly, Dinwiddie has gone over this projection in three out of the previous four games against the Hawks.
Los Angeles Lakers @ Minnesota Timberwolves
D’Angelo Russell 18+ Points
I could not include D’Angelo Russell in an NBA Same Game Parlay in his first game against his former team. But Russell has been fantastic for the Lakers since the trade from the Wolves. Over the last five games, Russell is averaging 18 points and has scored at least 18 points in three out of the last five games for the Lakers. Let’s not forget the fact that D’Lo had a 52-point scoring night against the Wolves back in 2019!
Austin Reaves 15+ Points
Austin Reaves has been one of the more consistent players for the Lakers since the All-Star break. In fact, since the All-Star break, Reaves is averaging 17 points per game. Furthermore, over the last five games, Reaves has been even better at scoring the basketball, where he is averaging 20.6 points per game. Reaves is making the most of his minutes as of late and where is averaging close to 35 minutes per game over the last five games. I expect Reaves to continue his scoring ways tonight.
LeBron James 8+ Rebounds
Since LeBron James returned from injury, he has been affecting the game outside of scoring. Since his return from injury, James has grabbed exactly eight rebounds in both games. If Anthony Davis ends up defending Karl Anthony-Towns tonight, Davis will be pulled away from underneath the basket opening rebounding chances for others. I believe that beneficiary will be James tonight.
Karl Anthony-Towns 2+ Three-Pointers
There’s no question that Karl Anthony-Towns has been a consistent three-point shooter throughout his career. I mean, he won the three-point contest a few years back. However, since his return from injury, where he missed 51 games, KAT has made at least two three-pointers in each of the three games. Furthermore, KAT has hit at least two three-pointers in four out of the last five career games against the Lakers. I love this leg as part of the NBA Same Game Parlay.
