NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup for Wednesday – March 29th

PG – De’Aaron Fox – SAC – $8,200

Portland is made for teams to exploit from deep. They’re 27th in the league in opponents’ three-point percentage, 20th in opponents’ points per game, and 26th in opponents’ field goal percentage. After a few down games shooting recently, this seems like the point for the Kings guard to get back on track.

SG – Josh Giddey – OKC – $8,500

Exploits of injury and rest time – that’s the name of the daily fantasy game this late in the season. Giddey, in his own right, is worth the salary that comes along with him, especially since he’s capable of throwing up a 64.3-point fantasy performance as he did against the Lakers last Friday. Add in that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander may be resting, there is a playoff spot on the line, and they are playing Detroit – this may be the perfect storm from the man down under.

SF – Royce O’Neale – BKN – $4,600

Royce O’Neale was banged up recently. The knee injury kept him out of the front end of his back-to-back, but he’s set to return for the second one on Wednesday. Luckily for us, that means his daily fantasy salary has dropped by almost half a grand. I like him quite a bit at that projection and coming off of rest. And all of that is before mentioning that they’re playing Houston.

PF – Kelly Olynyk – UTA – $6,800

The Spurs are dead last in opponents’ scoring and field goal percentage. They’re pretty bad against power forwards (28th in the league there). This should mean that Olynyk is in a great position to score a bunch. Plus, fantasy-wise, he’s had some of his biggest games when he can get on the boards more. The Spurs are also 29th in the league in rebounds allowed over their last three games (60.7 a game).

C – Nikola Vucevic – CHI – $7,900

Vucevic has had some of his worst rebounding nights of the year over his last few. However, I think that means it’s time to strike while his daily fantasy cost is low. The Lakers rank 24th against big men in terms of fantasy points. They also rank in the bottom third of the league in rebounds allowed and the bottom half in rebound percentage. So let’s expect the big man to return to his usual totals in the teens.

G – TJ McConnell – IND – $6,000

It’s looking like we won’t see Tyrese Haliburton on Wednesday either, so we’ve got another chance to exploit the injury bug. Although McConnell didn’t start last time, he wound up with the lion’s share at point guard by the night’s end. Milwaukee is particularly bad against PGs, ranking 16th in the league, largely thanks to turning the ball over more than any team.

F – Doug McDermott – SAS – $3,600

Thanks to the minutes he logs, Dougie Buckets is a bargain bin play on Wednesday. In the last seven games, he’s only failed to hit 20 minutes once, and he had 18 that night. Sometimes this can put him in the mid-20s for fantasy points, which is more than you’d need for this salary to make sense. Of course, he could finish lower than that, but at least you aren’t going to have your cheap pick riding the pine all night.

UTIL – Paul Reed – PHI – $4,100

When Joel Embiid took the night off on Monday, Paul Reed took advantage of the extra burn. He went off for 34.1 fantasy points and logged plenty of minutes. Maybe Embiid is back again Wednesday night, but Reed has probably carved himself out a nice chunk of minutes. Plus, if Embiid is still on the mend, Reed would be a must-play.
