XFL Week Seven Picks
The guys (@GamblingPodcast) talk XFL betting predictions in their XFL week seven picks podcast. They talk about all their best XFL bets as they’re joined by Justin Mark (@JMarkFootball) from The XFL Gambling Podcast and Old-Fashioned Football.
J-Mark is co-hosting a show with his wife called “Old Fashioned Football” where they discuss football while sipping old fashioned whiskey. There has been some trade news in the XFL, with quarterback Luis Perez getting traded to Arlington. There is belief that this occurred because the league wanted to see Tyler Huntley playing and not riding pine behind Perez, as there is a belief he can help drive ratings.
Despite the consistent woes of the Guardians, J-Mark has them ranked 5th in the league. He believes their offense is moving in the right direction and their defense doesn’t look too bad. However, their coaching is atrocious, and the team has made multiple mental mistakes, making J-Mark’s decision questionable.
(28:49) Arlington Renegades (-4) vs Seattle Sea Dragons Ben Dinucci has played well in moments but is a certified risk taker, making you hold your breath on each play. Infamous receiver Josh Gordon’s seemingly lack of care has been troubling for the Sea Dragons and just might be their issue. On the other side though, Arlington has a bad offensive line that can easily find them trouble.
(34:35) Vegas Vipers (-3) vs San Antonio Brahmas Both of these offenses struggle but the Brahmas have the better run game, and better defense. They are on the road but Vegas has a poor crowd behind them so the Brahmas should be able to handle them soundly.
(41:01) D.C. Defenders (-9.5) vs Orlando Guardians D.C. is easily the best team in the league and the Guardians are now arguably the worst. However, the Defenders are on a short week and could easily look past Orlando. In addition, the Guardians aren’t winning, but they are finding ways to cover these big spreads. D.C. also allows the most passing yards per game in the XFL, all the more reason to be susceptible.
(46:32) Houston Roughnecks (-3) vs St. Louis Battlehawks The Roughnecks have a quarterback decision on their hands but might have found the answer in Cole McDonald. Coming off two tough losses, the Roughnecks are in need of a nice bounce back win and could find one if their defense can tee off on AJ McCarron. This will not be easy though because their offensive line is now back and healthy. Factor this in with their unique offense compared to the rest of the league and the Roughnecks could actually have their hands full on Sunday.
