What an exciting first day of March Madness! This episode is a crossover with The College Basketball Experience podcast. There were a number of upsets, with Princeton overcoming Arizona as a 15 seed. The first half under was not a clean sweep but was still hitting, finishing at 11-8-1 at the time of the episode. There was a sweet bad beat for those with Alabama -24 as an opposing player was dribbling the ball out down 25 then decided to take a step back 3 as the buzzer sounded to cover. Furman was another wild one as long time Virginia point guard Kihei Clark essentially threw the game away by chucking the ball up and allowing Furman to hit a game winning three.

Arizona State/TCU: TCU -5.5

TCU hails from the Big 12, a proven conference this year. TCU has a more than capable defense and Arizona State can get hot, but they can also get cold.

Maryland/Alabama: Alabama -8.5

Maryland showed a lot of heart in their win over West Virginia in the first round and they could certainly hang around with Alabama. Alabama is no push over though and will have a strong crowd behind them.

Furman/San Diego State: San Diego State -5.5

San Diego had a rough offensive showing but their defense more than makes up for it. Furman could be drunk from their Super Bowl win over Virginia though, which San Diego could take advantage of.

Kansas/Arkansas: Kansas -4

Arkansas is not incredibly impressive skills wise on offense but they are indeed led by the MUSS BUS. In recent trips to the NCAA tournament, Arkansas has made it to the sweet sixteen. Kansas started off slow against Howard but they really turned it on late. With such a small spread, its hard to not bet on the prowess Kansas has had all year with this opportunity.

Princeton/Missouri: Mizzou -6.5

Princeton played sound basketball but its hard for a miracle to happen twice, as dogs of more than 7 who win outright and are dogs of more than 7 again usually don’t fair well. In addition, Mizzou is a lot taller than Princeton and will prove to have quite the advantage.

Auburn/Houston: Houston -8

Houston must prepare to play without Marcus Sasser as he was banged up last game. Auburn played like they had a chip on their shoulder and Houston did not look too impressive. Auburn will also have a major crowd factor behind them.

Duke/Tennessee: Duke -2.5

Duke looks extremely good as of late and Tennessee barely beat Louisiana. Duke should be able to cover this spread easily.

Penn State/Texas: Texas -6

Penn State dominated in their opening round and shot the lights out. Texas though is the better team and looked good as well.

Northwestern/UCLA: UCLA -8

UCLA was battling injuries and still won very comfortably and looks really good and poised. Northwestern though has electric senior guards who can make something shake in this game.
