March Madness Bracket Picks + Futures

The guys (@GamblingPodcast) give out all their March Madness bracket picks as they reveal their full bracket. They’re joined by Jared Smith (@JaredLeeSmith) from Fox Sports Radio to talk March Madness picks and give out their favorite NCAA Tournament future bets.

In this episode all of the guys gave out their brackets. Betting region winners is tough because you aren’t getting great odds for all the games they have to win just to get there. If you have strong conviction with higher seeded teams like Memphis or Michigan State, this is the time to take them as a region winner.

South Region March Madness Winner:

Kramer: San Diego State

Sean: Creighton

Colby: Arizona

Jared: Alabama

Alabama has looked like the best team in this field with Brandon Miller looking like the best player.

East Region March Madness Winner:

Kramer: Memphis

Sean: Michigan State

Colby: Memphis

Jared: Marquette

All of the guys had Duke making it through their scary first round upset threat, and no one had Purdue making it out of the region, a popular thought amongst the public.

Mid-West March Madness Winner:

Kramer: Houston

Sean: Houston

Colby: Houston

Jared: Houston

Houston sweeps this region with Texas being a popular elite eight matchup for the fellas. Drake is also another dark horse that showed up to be going far.

South Region March Madness Winner:

Kramer: Kansas

Sean: UCLA

Colby: TCU

Jared: UCLA

This is a very talented region that seems to be fairly chalky except for some who are forcing Grand Canyon over Gonzaga.

Bracket Winner:

Kramer: Houston

Sean: UCLA

Colby: Houston

Jared: Houston

Houston will essentially be playing at home if they make it to the final four and will feed off the crowd. UCLA has all the experience to finally get it done in this tournament. 3 out of 4 of the hosts chose Houston, is it time to fade?

An interesting bet you can take is how many 1 seeds make it to the final four, with 0 being the favorite at +125. This has occurred before, as well as all 4, but it is not very likely. Another interesting prop bet is the over/under of the combined seed number for the final four at 12.5. If a couple 4 or 5 seeds get in, this is very likely.

Penn State to reach the Sweet 16 at +490 is a very nice prop that could get nicer if you parlay it with another team such as Kansas. Big 10 under 8 total wins in the tournament is a nice prop bet called out by Jared, as fading the Big 10 usually underperforms.

Alabama/Texas A&M Corpus Christi: Alabama -24

Alabama is -12500 on the ML in this one and for good reason. However, 24 points is a lot and A&M hits their free throws well. Although, A&M will be missing their best player which is a bad recipe against a red hot Alabama team.

Pitt/Iowa State: Iowa State -4

Iowa State plays very soft basketball but Pitt only snuck in from a very insane shooting night. Iowa State has been playing pretty good ball though as of late, but Pitt should be able to force a cover.
