College Basketball Picks 2-28-23

The guys (@GamblingPodcast) give out all their best college basketball bets in this college basketball picks 2-28-23 podcast. They’re joined by Colby Dant (@TheColbyD) from The College Basketball Experience. Despite all the college basketball conference tournament talk, there is still individual games that will be hot in the betting world. Some of these games on the last day of February will have huge implications on the postseason fate of a bunch of these teams.

Butler hosts Marquette with the road team at -7. In the Big East you are supposed to take the home team due to the history of this year. However, Marquette can lock up the league title with an outright win of the Big East and it would be foolish to not think they are playing for this. Butler hasn’t been great in conference but they are still a solid team

Ball State heads to Akron where Akron is -7 and has been a beast at home. Ball State though has been good on the road against the spread. In the MAC this year though, the home team is 50-4 in conference play.

VCU hosts St. Louis where they are 5.5-point home favorites. St. Louis has a good offense and could be seeking revenge. This should be enough to help them cover, but VCU really won’t make it easy.

NC State is a 5.5 dog against Duke, who has yet to lose at home and has won 4 games straight. NC State hasn’t played well on the road either.

Clemson visits Virginia as a 7-point dog. The ACC can be won by Clemson if they win this one as they are one game back. However, Clemson just had a big win and Virginia is coming off a couple losses.

The college basketball picks podcast continues as Iowa heads to Indiana where Indiana is -5.5. Indiana is the overall better team and Iowa could still be a little tired from their big overtime win on Saturday.

Kent State hosts Ohio, where Ohio is +8.5. Kent State is undefeated at home and is known for their sound defense. However, Ohio is scrappy on the offensive board and has a lot to play for in terms of extending their season. When they last played, Kent State won on the road.

Seton Hall hosts Villanova who is favored by 2 points despite being on the road. Seton Hall can sneak into the tournament if they win this game but Villanova has been hot as of late and has some big wins.

Texas Tech and Kansas will put out a great Big 12 battle, despite Tech being a heavy underdog at +10. Texas Tech hasn’t been great on the road, but Kansas hasn’t been great against the spread. Kansas is a one of the few elite teams in college basketball this year and could put a hurting down.

Arkansas travels to Tennessee where the MUSS BUS is +7. Arkansas hits the boards well and plays a full game, they could definitely sneak out a cover here.

San Diego State visits Boise State in what will be a true pick ‘em. San Diego State has been playing well recently though but Boise State is coming off a tough road game.

Michigan State is -3.5 against Nebraska. Nebraska is 5-1 in their last 6 and is red hot. Although, the Spartans are a legit team this year, but it won’t be easy to go into Nebraska and win by at least 4.

Louisville is an 11-point dog at home as they host Virginia Tech. Louisville has played some rough basketball all year and has won 4 home games.
