College Basketball Picks 2-21-23

The guys (@GamblingPodcast) are back with their latest college basketball picks podcast. They’re joined by Colby Dant (@TheColbyD) from The College Basketball Experience to talk about their college basketball best bets in this college basketball picks 2-21-23 podcast.

College basketball featured some big-time games last night such as Kansas vs TCU in which Kansas snuck out a 63-58 win. Expect much more games like this in the near future as March Madness gets closer and closer.

Villanova travels to Xavier as a 5.5-point underdog. In the Big East, the home team tends to win but Villanova is a great free throw shooting team. Its always hard to bet in a world where Villanova isn’t a powerhouse. Yet, Xavier is 14-1 at home.

Kent State heads to Ball State who is a +3.5 point home underdog. Ball State has been hot this year and is coming off a big let down loss to one of the worst teams in their conference. They should bounce back strong and defend their home court well as they have all year.

Toledo is -4 at home as they host Akron. Akron has struggled on the road all year and Toledo has won 11 straight. The MAC also sees a lot of success from home teams this year, with teams 50-4 at home this year.

Baylor heads to Kansas State where State is +2.5. Kansas is 9-5 in conference, but Baylor has had a great year, but a slightly worse defense. Last time these teams met, Kansas State won in Baylor. Revenge is 100% afoot.

Tennessee is headed to Texas A&M where A&M is -1.5. Last time these teams played Tennessee won by 15 so the line is a little fishy, especially since Tennessee is a good team that just had a tough loss to Kentucky. The game should be LIT.

Mississippi State heads to Mizzou where Missouri is -4. The game should be packed to the brim for a battle between a strong defensive team and a strong offensive team. Analytics show that Mizzou might just have the slightest edge for their defensive prowess.

Miami heads to Virginia Tech where Tech is -2 and still alive! Tech is great at home but Miami is also good on the road. The crowd factor might be what puts Tech over the edge.

Creighton hosts Marquette in a Big East battle where Creighton is -5.5. The home edge will be strong in this one as Creighton has been strong all year and should handily cover.

Texas Tech is +2.5 against Oklahoma. The Sooners have looked solid as of very late and could be riding some momentum into this matchup.

Indiana heads to Michigan State where they are +2.5 on the road. State is 10-2 at home and covers the three-point line very well.

Iowa State is +7 on the road at Texas. The Texas crowd is absolutely rocking and could be shifting the odds makers too much as they are 15-1 at home but 8-8 against the spread. Iowa State struggles to score and Texas is much better at the line than State, which could help them cover.

San Diego State hosts Colorado State where San Diego is -11.5. In the last 5, San Diego State is 5-0 against the spread and their offense is firing on all cylinders. The spread definitely is high, but Colorado State struggles to grab offensive boards and won’t be able to slow San Diego State down.
