Super Bowl 57 Recap

The guys (@GamblingPodcast) break down the end of the NFL season with their Super Bowl 57 recap podcast.

Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs, the champions of Super Bowl 57. In what turned out to be quite the game, the Chiefs offense was able to outpace the legendary Eagles defense. While there was some questionable calls late, the Eagles defense never came up with a turnover which was well needed as they couldn’t come up with enough stops in the second half.

Jalen Hurts did dominate in the game and showed he will be able to lead the Eagles for a very long time as a dual threat. Aside for his fumble which was returned for a touchdown, it would be hard to say he didn’t ball out. For the Eagles, they were expected to at least win a playoff game by the fans’ consensus, and they exceeded this expectation by far.

Some bets hit, some bets did not. The infamous octopus bet hit with Jalen Hurts as he scored a rushing touchdown and then tied the game up by running in a 2 point conversion. Jalen Hurts Anytime TD also cashed early and AJ Brown receiving yards. Another good bet that hit from Kramer was Chiefs second half points over 13.5, as well as Chiefs team total over 24.5.

Some were extremely close such as Kenneth Gainwell First TD coming an inch short and Boston Scott Rush yards, falling right between his mix of lines between 7.5 and 8.5. Patrick Mahomes MVP also cashed easily, which was the perfect advantage in exchange of betting Chiefs ML. Anyone who took the poor payout on a kick hitting the upright due to how unlikely this seems, Harrison Butker made you look like a genius.

The Chiefs achieved how everyone expected but didn’t want to admit. Even though they had quite the rag-tag of receivers outside of Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid have proven to be enough to win. These two should be here for a very, very long time.  The Eagles should as well be able to see success for quite sometime too, depending on the improvement of their division counterparts. But with the play of their once “joke” of a backup Jalen Hurts, it will be hard to not have lofty expectations for many years.

Football is never over in our hearts, but it is now time to shift more towards college basketball, as March Madness is just about one month away.
