Ryan saw it as an obvious letdown. He watched the Tennessee fans after the Alabama game and called what comes next a hangover, and he is happy to keep fading teams coming off an emotional celebration. Colby had taken Auburn in a similar spot, but Ryan pointed out Auburn was on the road, so the rule survived.

Colby went further and said the line tells you everything. Ryan agreed that South Carolina being favored stinks, and Colby believes Tennessee has dropped three of its last four trips to Columbia. He also flagged a young quarterback on the road who didn’t play great when he went to Arkansas, and added that South Carolina’s coach has a knack for beating Tennessee. His final word was “South Carolina all day.”

Sean got there through a comparison: a quarterback comes off the bench, has a nice game and carries the team, then game two is where things fall apart. He took South Carolina laying the two and a half, though he said he doesn’t love it and is a little nervous about the Gamecocks.

The rest of the segment was a Bud Foster trivia question aimed at Sean and some love for the Murray State starting-gate entrance, which has nothing to do with the bet and was still the best part.
