American League All-Stars vs National League All-Stars

Also be damn sure that I’ve got some angles for my home run bets for the MLB All-Star Game – I’m not just blindly betting on players and hoping they come through. The game is going down at Citizens Bank Park in the City of Brotherly Love, a venue rated as the most homer-friendly ballpark for left-handed hitters in the majors.

The first obvious play is the Philadelphia Phillies’ Kyle Schwarber. He’s left-handed, he’s playing in his home ballpark, he leads the majors in home runs, he’s batting leadoff, and he’s taken the AL starting pitcher, Dylan Cease, deep twice in his career. He’s the chalky pick, but still a nice payout.

Let’s pick an AL hitter as well, and sprinkle some dough on the Houston Astros’ Yordan Alvarez. Once again, a left-handed hitter, batting high in the order (second), and the American League’s leader in homers with 31.
