The only professional sports All-Star Game worth watching goes down tomorrow, as the Midsummer Classic takes place in the City of Brotherly Love. For my best bet for Tuesday (July 14th): MLB All-Star Game Predictions, we’re off to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Let’s get this money!
Best Bet for Tuesday (July 14th): MLB All-Star Game Predictions
American League All-Stars vs National League All-Stars
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
With the game being played in Philadelphia, the NL All-Stars will have the home-field advantage in this year’s matchup with the hated AL All-Stars. After the American League dominated the proceedings over the past few decades, the National League has won two of the past three affairs.
The big news for this year’s game is who isn’t playing: Shohei Ohtani, Paul Skenes, and Jacob Misiorowski, most notably for the NL, and three starters for the American side: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Byron Buxton, and Aaron Judge. In all, 11 selected players will be missing tomorrow’s game.
Despite – actually, because – of all the missing players, I’m in on the home side, the National League. The AL is missing a lot of key bats, most importantly Judge’s. And the National League has a deeper roster overall, and will be able to fill the holes created by the missing talent.
But this is an All-Star Game, so anything can happen, really. Saying that, I’m still in on the side of the chalk – the National League on the moneyline – as my best bet for Tuesday.
