Ryan Kramer said Rams vs Commanders was the hardest game of the week for him, while Sean Green still backed the Rams laying 5.5 as of the November 4 taping. The game kicks off Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 PM ET in Landover, MD. Ryan landed on the Commanders +5.5, so this one is a split on the NFL Picks Week 9 episode.
Rams vs Commanders Odds
When the guys taped on November 4, the Rams were 5.5-point road favorites over the Commanders, and the total sat at 47.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Commanders +5.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Rams -5.5
Sean’s read is that the Commanders just aren’t a good football team. He pointed to Sean McVay going 12 and 7 ATS in 1 PM East games and expects McVay to get up for a game against his former team. Sean also cited a mismatch on third down, with Washington’s offense 31st and the Rams’ defense sixth. He thinks the Rams will be able to run the ball and win by a touchdown.
Ryan wasn’t sold on the pass rush. He noted the Rams don’t get much pressure either, and asked Sean whether Stafford’s shaky play worried him. Sean said no. He has watched Stafford look off and still cover against bad teams, and he listed the Eagles, Chargers and Raiders games as examples.
Then Ryan made his case with Dan Quinn. By Ryan’s count, Quinn has faced Stafford three times and never lost, with eight sacks, two interceptions and Stafford’s teams averaging under 20 points. Ryan also saw the Rams in person and noticed plenty of room for an opposing quarterback to run around. He figures Quinn has something special planned and took the points at home. Sean held firm and called it a McVay spot.
