Most of Sean’s case is about the Dallas defense. He says defensive coordinator Christian Parker is still completely lost. As proof he points to Gardner Minshew, who came off the bench and carved the Cowboys up in their loss to the Cardinals. Sean adds that Dallas got a gift when the Arizona kicker missed an extra point and still couldn’t figure it out. The guys also noted the Cowboys rank 29th on defense. Sean calls Shane Steichen against Parker a legit advantage for Indianapolis.
Then there is the quarterback. Sean says a dog in this range is the sweet spot for Daniel Jones, who he has at 16 and 8 in that spot. In his words, if you need a guy to lose by a field goal or four points, Jones is your guy. Ryan added that Jones is also pretty good against bad defenses, and Sean agreed that’s when he thrives.
Sean also expects Jonathan Taylor to have a massive game. He says a physical back like Taylor is going to eat against this Cowboys team. Before any of that, the guys spent a long stretch on Jerry Jones claiming coaching pay doesn’t correlate with winning. When Sean noted the four highest-paid coaches have all won Super Bowls, Ryan called it a bit of chicken or egg.
