Ryan’s case came down to the spot: San Diego State on a short number early in the season. Sean and Colby went the other way with Colorado, which was on a little West Coast road trip. Colorado visits San Diego State on Saturday, November 7 at 12:30 PM PT / 3:30 PM ET in San Diego, CA. San Diego State was a 3-point favorite when the guys taped on November 4. Ryan, Sean Green and guest Colby Dant sorted out the split on the College Basketball Picks: Friday 11/6 & Saturday 11/7 episode.
Colorado vs San Diego State Odds
San Diego State was a 3-point favorite over Colorado when the guys taped on November 4, 2026. That is the number the guys played.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): San Diego State -3
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Colorado +3
- Colby Dant (@TheColbyD): Colorado +3
Ryan opened the segment with a hard line: zero percent chance he fades San Diego State on a short number at home early in the season. Colby said he was with him at first. He was impressed with the Buffs the other night but called San Diego State a culture play, even with a lot of new faces.
Then the guys got stuck on where the game is played. Ryan realized it was not a regular home game, and the group went down a Pechanga rabbit hole before settling that it is the Pechanga Arena in downtown San Diego, the Sports Arena by its older name. Ryan noted the building has hosted a long list of defunct teams, and Colby’s takeaway was that teams die there, so he wanted the Buffs. Ryan held his ground and said he was still laying it.
Colby’s case for Colorado was the Abilene Christian game. He said he watched it because he had Abilene, and Colorado beat them up. He praised a couple of Colorado players and said the more he thought about it, the more he liked the Buffs to get it done. Another host agreed Colorado matches up pretty well physically and took the Buffs in the three.
The game doubles as the first Bill Walton Classic, a nod to Bill Walton that Colby said comes with Grateful Dead themed events. His wish was for San Diego to build a real tournament around it with more than one game.
