Our Picks

Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Broncos -4
Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Broncos -4

Nobody pretended Bo Nix has been good. The segment opened on how dreadful he has looked, and the defense of him was situational: he landed in the right place, with Sean Payton, who knows how to get the most out of him, and now Payton gets extra time to prepare against a defense the guys called bad. They had the Cardinals 27th in pressure rate and dead last in net yards per play, and they read the Arizona defense’s big game against the Rams as an outlier.

Then there is the spot. Arizona just won outright as a big dog at SoFi, and the guys noted the Cardinals are 6-12 ATS in their last 18 games after a win. The last time they rode that wave, Seattle blew them out the next week in a game that was also a four-point spread. With everyone having watched Nix struggle in prime time, the guys expect the Cardinals to end up a public dog, and they said Arizona was already drawing more action.

The Denver side of the injury report helps too. The guys said Jonathan Cooper is coming off the commissioner’s exempt list and is eligible in Week 7, which they called huge, because pressure is the whole plan: get to Brissett and he breaks. Add a Payton offense that has been bottom five in the league on third down, which the guys expect to regress toward his usual, and they were all over Denver.
