College Football Pick Of The Day (October 14th): NCAA Week 7 Spread Pick

For today’s college football Week 7 pick of the day, I’m looking at a late-night MAC matchup as Ohio travels west to take on Sacramento State. The Bobcats are currently a 15.5-point favorite.

Ohio comes in at 4-2 overall and a perfect 2-0 in conference play. They’ve shown a strong run game that is averaging close to 200 yards per game. They’ve also put up big points against MAC Competition. They beat Central Michigan last week 31-14. The Bobcats have also handled business in tight spots.

Sacramento State, in its first season in the FBS, has struggled to adjust. They’re 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the MAC, with their only win coming against an FCS opponent. They’ve been outscored badly against FBS teams, including the 38-10 loss at Bowling Green last week. Their offense has struggled to sustain drives, and the defense isn’t slowing teams down.

Ohio will have to travel across the country for the night game at Horne Stadium, and Sacramento State is having their Homecoming, which could create an intense atmosphere. However, the talent and experience gap is significant. The Bobcats’ ground game will control this game and pull away with the cover.

The Pick: Ohio -15.5
