#2 Cleveland Guardians vs #6 Chicago White Sox
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
The Cleveland Guardians finally got on the board in their American League Division Series against the Chicago White Sox, spanking the home team 9-3 in Wednesday’s Game 3. And it was just in time for the Guardians to get a win, since they are one loss away from losing the series to their AL Central rivals.
But I expect that loss to come tomorrow night in Chi-Town. Wednesday’s loss was a bit of an aberration for the White Sox, since they are very strong at Rate Field, going 48-33 at home in the regular season (sixth best in the majors), including winning four of six games against the Guardians.
Chicago has also excelled using a modern baseball strategy, extending “bullpen days” from the regular season into the playoffs. A 4-1 postseason record in bullpen days makes me feel confident about picking them to win tomorrow, another day where they don’t have a traditional starting pitcher lined up to go.
Look for the White Sox to wrap up the series at home tomorrow and for us to cash a plus money bet in the process.
