Division Series Daily Dingers for Thursday (Oct 8th): Best & Most Fun Home Run Bets

Freddie Freeman didn’t homer on Wednesday, meaning it wasn’t a good day for my home run props. But he’s at least on to the next round. For my Division Series Daily Dingers for Thursday (Oct 8th): Best & Most Fun Home Run Bets, we’re off to Rate Field in Chicago, Illinois, for the day’s lone game. Let’s get this money!

Division Series Daily Dingers for Thursday (Oct 8th): Best & Most Fun Home Run Bets

Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago White Sox

Start Time: 5:00 PM EST

Depending on what happens in San Diego as of this writing, the Cleveland Guardians and Chicago White Sox Division Series could be the last ongoing series of this round. At the very least, it’s our only game to find some home run hitters on Thursday.

Considering I give out three plays per day, we better hope we get lots of dingers tomorrow night in the Windy City. For the home side, the White Sox, I’m going with the obvious choice and taking their leading home run hitter, MLB rookie Munetaka Murakami. Murakami had 35 homers in the regular season, including two against Game 4 starter Parker Messick, in six at-bats.

Picking a Guardians player to homer is more difficult because they don’t hit homers, and Chicago is having a bullpen day tomorrow, making batter vs pitcher stats that I rely on to make picks unreliable. Let’s go with Cleveland’s top home run hitter as well, Angel Martinez.

Best Bets: Munetaka Murakami (+419), Angel Martinez (+790)

Bonus Bet: Miguel Vargas (+450)

2026 Playoffs Overall Record: 5-18 (22%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $664.00
