It’s hard to decide what is more impressive: the Dallas Wings winning 27 games this season after winning a combined 19 in the previous two, or the Golden State Valkyries making the playoffs in their first two seasons of existence, while being the league’s second-best team this year.
Speaking of impressive, that is what the Valkyries were in Game 1 of this series against the Wings, beating the visitors by 24 points. That marks the fourth time in four tries that Golden State has beaten Dallas this season. Yet, if you cheated and read ahead, you’ll see I’m in on the Wings tomorrow night.
Home court is the main factor. Golden State had the best home mark in the league this season, going 17-5 at the Chase Center. But Dallas was hot on their heels with a 16-6 record playing in Arlington. After doing my number crunching, I’ve calculated the line as Dallas -0.5 for Game 2. That would make the Wings on the spread my best bet for Wednesday.
