Philadelphia Phillies vs Atlanta Braves

The Philadelphia Phillies will be one of those teams with their backs to the wall down in Hotlanta, as the Atlanta Braves beat them in Game 1 off of a dramatic Austin Riley home run.

The Phillies will go to war with their best starter, Cristopher Sanchez, tomorrow, but that is good news to at least one of the Braves’ hitters. Matt Olson excels hitting against Sanchez (I guess he excels hitting against most people), with two career homers and a .901 OPS.

Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees

Start Time: 8:00 PM EST

It is grossly unfair that a franchise like the New York Yankees can pluck a 41-home-run hitter out of the 12th round of the draft. But that’s what the Bronx Bombers did when they selected Ben Rice in the 2021 Draft.

And I’m counting on Rice to do some bombing tomorrow in the Bronx. The young slugger has two career homers in only seven at-bats against Game 2 starter Sonny Gray.
