MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Abu Dhabi
UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs Gusko (aka UFC Abu Dhabi)
Main Card Start Time: Noon EST
Check the early start time since this event is on the other side of the world (9:00 am EST prelims). And, for the second Fight Night in a row, we’ve got a former UFC champion in the main event.
That would be Magomed Ankalaev, who isn’t the most exciting fighter, but he’s well-rounded and effective. And his opponent this week, Bogdan Guskov, is stepping into the biggest test of his career on short notice. This will not go well for him.
As long as Ankalaev minds his P’s and Q’s on the feet (Guskov has dangerous power), he should cruise to a boring victory in Abu Dhabi and put his name back in the hat for a light heavyweight title shot.
