Daily World Cup Best Bets – June 13th

Qatar vs. Switzerland

Kickoff – 3:00 pm EST
Levi Stadium – Santa Clara, California
Broadcast – FOX

Saturday is going to bring the goals and this is the first example of a game I think will have plenty. Datar’s defense looks artificially good based on their friendlies against some of the worst teams in the world. Switzerland, on the other hand, is averaging 2.0 goals per game over their last four. That includes a three-goal performance against a tough German squad. WIth the way that Dan Ndoye is bagging them, they should be able to run away from this one in a high scorer.

Best Bets for Qatar/Switzerland: Switzerland -1.5 (-150) and Over 2.5 Goals (-150)

Brazil vs. Morocco

Kickoff – 6:00 pm EST
MetLife Stadium – East Rutherford, New Jersey
Broadcast – FOX

Morocco seems to be the trendy pick to make some noise in this tournament. While I don’t necessarily disagree, the books are hanging a bit too heavily on those predictions. At the end of the day, Brazil is still Brazil and they have plenty of fire power. They might have the best player in the world at the moment in Raphinha. Add in that they closed to tune-up season with 11 goals in three games – and I really can’t see why you wouldn’t love the moneyline and wouldn’t love the over.

Best Bets for Brazil/Morocco: Brazil ML (-150) and  Over 2.5 (+110)

Haiti vs. Scotland

Kickoff – 10:00 pm EST
SoFi Stadium – Inglewood, California
Broadcast – FOX

Scotland might not be a serious threat in this tournament, but they do have one thing going for them. They have the ability to pile on the goals against bad teams. If you look at their last five friendlies, they have scored at least four goals in three of them. The level of competition wouldn’t blow you out of the water, but the offense is there nevertheless. A big part of that has been the finishing ability of Lawrence Shankland. He should get busy again here and help us hit the spread and over.

Best Bets for Haiti/Scotland: Scotland -1.5 (+160) and Over 2.5 Goals (-120)
