NBA Predictions & Preview For Thursday, May 8th

The NBA Playoffs are drunk and need to go home and sleep it off. Actually, on second thought, scratch that – stay drunk, NBA Playoffs, since I’m on a hot streak with my NBA daily plays – four straight, baby. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Thursday, May 8th.

NBA Predictions & Preview For Thursday, May 8th

Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves

Start Time – 8:30 PM EST

The Minnesota Timberwolves really blew it in Game 1, losing on their home court to the Golden State Warriors despite Stephen Curry leaving early with an injured hamstring. However, they are being given another kick at the can, as Curry will be on the sidelines for at least a week.

The Warriors have more of a chance with Curry in street clothes now that Jimmy Butler is on the squad, but it’ll still be a slog to win without their all-time great. But, as mentioned in the intro, these playoffs have been a wild ride, so to quote Kevin Garnett, anything is possible.

Ok, enough beating around the bush – what’s my play for Game 2, you ask? I think the Wolves will bounce back and win the game, but I’m wary of the size of this spread. I’d have this game lined up as Minnesota -4.5 with both teams at full strength, so I think the Warriors can cover for us on Thursday.

Best Bet: Golden State +10.5 (-104)

Overall Record: 182-150 (55%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $1,627.56
Return on Investment: 5%
