MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 104
UFC Fight Night: Vettori vs Dolidze 2 (aka UFC Vegas 104)
Start Time: 4:00 PM EST (ESPN+)
Our co-main event on Saturday is a welterweight battle between Chidi Njokuani and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, with the American, Njokuani, being the dog. So, since this is an underdog article, I’m obviously taking Njokuani.
This is probably (hopefully) going to be a striking battle. Zaleski dos Santos is a better grappler than the kickboxing-only Njokuani, but he doesn’t lean on it very often. And “Chidi Bang Bang” has solid takedown defense.
And I like the much bigger Njokuani (four inches taller, seven inches of reach) when this fight is on the feet – he’s the better striker with more power. Chidi is a worthy live dog.
