Moe Odum Higher Than 2.5 Turnovers
Pepperdine draws St. Mary’s in a West Coast Conference tournament semifinal tonight. This will be Pepperdine’s fourth game in four days. This could be a tough night for tired legs, and Waves point guard Moe Odum should go higher than 2.5 turnovers.
Odum comes into this game averaging 2.6 turnovers per game this year. He’s gone higher than 2.5 turnovers in eight of his last 10 games played. Odum has also played St. Mary’s twice this year and posted two and three turnovers in those games.
Odum has seen an increased usage rate in the tournament, and he was already sloppy with the ball. Playing 38 or more minutes in three straight games will take a toll on the best athletes, and now he gets to face a nasty St. Mary’s defense. Odum is about as close to a lock to go over 2.5 turnovers in this one as it gets. Make sure he’s in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for March 10th.
Paulius Murauskas Higher Than 8.5 Rebounds + Assists
Sticking with the theme of ‘good team vs. tired legs’, we’re going to roll with St. Mary’s forward Paulius Murauskas to fill up the stat sheet tonight.
Pepperdine allows opponents to grab 36.0 rebounds per game this year. That’s 266th in the nation. The Waves also allow opponents to average 14.8 assists per game this season. That’s 300th in the nation.
Murauskas comes into tonight’s semifinal match up averaging 8.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He’s gone higher than 8.5 RA in three of his last five games played. Murauskas faced Pepperdine twice he put up 15 rebounds and assists in the first match up, but only eight in the second.
St. Mary’s has been off since March 1st, while this is Pepperdine’s fourth game in four days. Murauskas wore down a bit as the season dragged on, but the time off should be a benefit. He’s had success against the Waves, and now gets them worn down. Murauskas should look fresh and find his way to more than 8.5 rebounds and assists for your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.
Dylan Arnett Higher Than 7.5 Rebounds
Cleveland State meets Youngstown State in a Horizon League tournament semifinal match up tonight. Youngstown State comes into this match up allowing opponents to average 36.1 rebounds per game this year. That’s 273rd in the nation. Let’s ride with Cleveland State big man Dylan Arnett to get at least eight boards tonight.
Arnett enters this game averaging 7.4 rebounds per game this year. He’s faced Youngstown State twice, and grabbed seven and 12 rebounds in those two games. Arnett has also gone higher than 7.5 rebounds in his last three games, and he’s picked up a few more minutes.
With a tasty match up, an increased usage rate, and a track record or success / near success, Arnett should go higher than 7.5 rebounds in tonight’s tournement game.
