While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Promotions all over the world as well as domestic ones are showing up in sportsbooks. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we head overseas for Oktagon 96 from München, Germany for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: Oktagon 96
Oktagon Welterweight Fight: Ronald Paradeiser vs Tyrone Pfeifer
Card Start Time: Saturday (10/31), 12:00pm EST (Oktagon TV)
The Oktagon welterweight division is in flux thanks to a vacating champion. It looks to find some answers this weekend with a fight to declare a new champion. However, there was some last second shuffling that saw someone fall out of a title fight and another fight broken up to save it. Now rising to the co-main event is the fight for who is next.
One half of that fight is Ronald Paradeiser. The Slovakian welterweight is looking to make a statement in his newer weight class. The former 155lbs champion has been finished in back-to-back fights since coming up to welterweight. He seems to struggle when it comes to dealing with the strength of this weight class as he’s been dropped in both of those fights.
That isn’t going to get any easier with Tyrone Pfeifer standing across from him. The German fighter won’t just be on home soil, but will be riding the high of two straight finishes over Oktagon fan-favorites. His ability to pressure early and hit hard should keep the difficulties coming for Paradeiser. For that reason, I’m loving the underdog line here on the surging fighter.
