College Football Week 3 Reaction Show Recap
The College Football Experience (@TCEonSGPN) on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network continues its 2026 season coverage with the college football week 3 reaction show, every game on the board. Pick Dundee aka (@TheColbyD) and Ryan McIntyre (@Moneyline_Mac) are joined by former Big 12 College Experience host Troy Chewning (@Troychewning). Why does Clemson get a lightning delay under blue skies with North Carolina driving? How does NC State lead by 17 twice and lose 35-31 to Vanderbilt on the last play? Is Rich Rodriguez all the way back after West Virginia won 38-27 in Charlottesville? Was 41-7 to Northwestern the end of Deion Sanders in Boulder? And is Trinidad Chambliss the Heisman favorite after taking LSU down in Oxford?
From there they work the board in order, all the way from the Thursday night massacre in Pittsburgh to the last kick of the night out west. They also stop on every cover, every bad beat, and every job that got hotter over the weekend. Colby finished 35-24 against the spread and then spent three hours complaining anyway. That is because the money lines were the worst run of his life. We talk it all and more on this episode of The College Football Experience.

The College Football Week 3 Reaction Starts With Two Fake Lightning Delays
North Carolina at Clemson is the one Colby will still be mad about in January. Blue skies, and a good chunk of the crowd still sitting right there in their seats. Then the officials pulled both teams with about seven minutes to play, while Carolina was getting eight yards a pop on the drive that would have ended it. Clemson said the storm was eight miles away. But eight miles is eight miles, and there were seven minutes left. Three hours later they came back out and the drive was dead. So was the momentum, and so was Colby’s money line, in a 28-20 loss.
He is not filing this one under bad luck either, because the pattern is too clean. Clemson did the same thing to Troy last year and to Syracuse last year, and it also happened to Georgia Southern the week before this one. Colby thinks the delay has become a competitive edge, and he wants somebody held to account for it. Win that game and Bill Belichick is 3-0 with Notre Dame coming to Chapel Hill. So that is the season Colby wanted to watch, and nobody gets to now.
Florida State at Alabama got two delays, not one. Colby laid the points with the Tide and lost anyway. But he still came out of it on Florida State’s side. The cameras showed cheerleaders and everybody else standing on the sideline while only the players had to leave. Troy, meanwhile, has already turned the whole thing into a system. He told his group chat that the second a trailing home team calls a delay, take the home money line and do not worry about the price. It worked. That is a bleak way to handicap a sport, and it is also money.
Rich Rod 2.0 And The Money Lines That Got Away
West Virginia 38-27 at Virginia was the game of the weekend in this booth. Mac spent it in Virginia in the coonskin hat, and he could not find a UVA fan until one o’clock on game day. That says plenty about a fan base coming off an 11-win year. He also bet the Mountaineers money line three separate times. The last one came at three in the morning, after he watched the price drift past 3-to-1. So the coonskin hat is still undefeated, and Mac has the screenshots.
Michael Hawkins Jr. went 10-of-17 for 190 yards and two touchdowns. He then carried it 18 times for 123 yards and three more scores. Colby is also holding a Heisman ticket on him and does not want to hear about the preseason number. It was 5.5 wins. Rich Rodriguez told the cameras afterward that his guys would celebrate with refreshments in a red cup, and that there would be no wine and no pinky up. Next up is Oklahoma State in Morgantown on Saturday night.
The rest of Colby’s card was carnage. NC State never trailed Vanderbilt and led by 17 at two different points. Then they lost 35-31 on the final play, to a team starting a quarterback who had never started. Colby had the money line, the spread, and a parlay of NC State with the North Carolina money line. Temple was worse. Fourteen-point lead with a minute and a half to go. The onside kick then hits the return man square in the hands and bounces to Toledo, who go 49 yards in two plays to force overtime. Temple ran for 261 yards on the night, went for two, and lost 49-48. So that is three money lines and three daggers, and he still finished 35-24 against the number.
The Week 3 College Football Scores That Paid
Maine plus 37.5 at Boston College was the sharpest thing on the sheet. The Black Bears then lost 22-16, and Bill O’Brien can exhale. Rutgers plus the points was a triple lock, and USC only won 42-35. A chatter pointed out that the Trojans lose that one without the pick six that came on the first drive of the second half. Rice also got 9.5 and covered against a Western Michigan team already looking ahead to Boise State. Fresno State 26, San Jose State 10 was Colby’s number one lock of the weekend. And that one sat at 3-3 deep into the night.
The UMass win total over 2.5 finally came in with the Minutemen 3-0. That is the first win total to cash after 138 team previews. In the same game, the bet detective’s Stonehill plus 35.5 covered and fed a family. Oregon 84-0 over Portland State then paid twice. Colby had the Ducks team total over 57.5 and the game total over 67.5. He still finished that one furious at Dan Lanning for going no-huddle up 77-0 against a team that won two games a year ago. New Mexico also covered at Oklahoma in a 14-6 game, with a backup quarterback. So both hosts now have Jason Eck as a top-10 coach in the sport.
John Mateer did not help Oklahoma’s case afterward. He explained into a microphone that he threw to a receiver based on how loud the crowd was getting, and Colby’s take was that you do not say a thing like that out loud even when it is true. Sam Houston, Georgia State, Charlotte plus 17.5 and Troy plus 26.5 all cashed too. And Kentucky walked into College Station and whipped Texas A&M 31-21. That produced the press conference of the year from Mike Elko. He shredded his own roster, then took the blame himself, and would not say one bad word about Kentucky.
Hot Seats And The Game Balls
Colby is out on Deion Sanders, and he says he has defended him plenty. Year four, 41-7 to Northwestern, and a video of the team mocking Northwestern’s stadium in warmups. Then came the press conference, where the head coach volunteered that he had to address players who were joking about the loss. That was the end of it for Colby. He wants Jason Eck, and he wants him now. The athletic director who hired Eck at New Mexico is now at Colorado. So the phone number is not hard to find.
Dave Doeren lands on the same list after the Vanderbilt game. South Carolina’s crowd was also chanting for Shane Beamer while Mississippi State came back and won 41-34. Colby thinks Beamer’s actual crime is four offensive coordinators in four years around LaNorris Sellers. Mississippi State is also the team he was most wrong about out of all 138 previews. Mac then gave his game ball to Ole Miss. Trinidad Chambliss came out of Division II, and he is the Heisman front-runner now. Colby took Rich Rodriguez, Troy took Mississippi State and James Madison, and Mac added Big Blue Nation. Louisville got one for finally beating SMU. The last ball was a universal one, to North Alabama for hosting the first college football game ever played on its campus.
