MMA Regional Pick of the Week: Cage Warriors
Cage Warriors Middleweight Fight: Dario Bellandi vs Naglis Kanišauskas
Card Start Time: Saturday (3/8), 11:00am EST (UFC Fight Pass)
The first of two title fights on Cage Warriors’ Saturday afternoon card features a rematch. The champ, Dario Bellandi, won the first of the two fights with Naglis Kanišauskas and as a result is the favorite. However, I’m not so sure he should be, and certainly not by this wide of a margin.
Kanišauskas looked great early in their first. Not only did he outstrike the Italian fighter, but he also used his own wrestling game against him – scoring some early takedowns. The only reason Bellandi came out on top was his cardio, as Kanišauskas seemed to lose steam.
As long as the Lithuanian fighter has sured up his cardio for this one, he should make this line look as ridiculous as I think it is.
